ValidatorPRO™ Network Cabling Certifiers

The JDSU ValidatorPRO™ series offer a complete solution to test copper and fibre Ethernet cables. The Ethernet speed certifier with optical power meter, together with Plan-Um cable management software delivers the power to test both media. Further, it can perform cable installation trouble shooting and test if cables can support Gigabit Ethernet.

Features:
  • Builds on all the tests performed by the Validator and Validator-NT - speed certifying, data carrying capabilites up to 1 Gb/s, testing faults and ensure/test installed cables can support speed capabilities of active equipment
  • Measures optical power on single mode and multi mode fibre
  • Conducts BER testing to speed certify Ethernet data transmission up to 1 Gb/s
  • Measures SNR and skew to uncover impairments to electrical Ethernet data
  • Tests for open, shorts, split pairs, miswires, reversals and distance to open and shorts - all copper, telco and coax
  • Identifies cable termination with hub flash
  • ValidatorPRO-NT features include - measures PoE voltage/current, performs port discovery, displays device capability, pings network devices to verify connectivity, discovers/displays details on wireless 802.11 b/g/n devices

Validator™ Network Cabling Certifiers

Test-Um's Validator™ range is designed for the modern day network. Suitable for Gigabit environments the devices allow easy definition, testing, printing and storing of cable results. The LanScaper™ is designed to combine the functions of a high-end cable tester and length measurement device with the capability to monitor and correct network problems connected with the physical layer and link conditions of the network.

LanRoamer™ Network Tester

The robust LanRoamer™ TP500 Cat.5 tester is designed as an all in one combined local and remote device which shows results, via LEDs, within two seconds. The tester indicates shorts, opens, mis-wires, reversals and split pairs. The unit is supplied with the required PP3 battery for use.

The high quality LanRoamerPRO™ TP600 cable tester measures cable length as part of the standard testing procedure that indicates shorts, opens, miswires, reversals and split pair errors. The clear wire configuration results are displayed on a 2 line, 16 character LCD display. The tester is available either with standard remote or in a carry case that includes 8 alternative remotes (TP607).

High Power Tone & Test Field Kit

The KP105 is a kit containing the higher powered Test-Um Tone Generator TG200 and the Tone Tracer, TT100. The device can generate more than 5 times the power of standard generators. For convenience in the field the tracer and generator are housed in a tough Cordura pouch with belt loop. The kit also includes one cord set with alligator clips.
